philosophy lesson opened really was an eye opener.
"the bible paradox" invented by tony see on the spot!- Adam, the first man was a sinner, and so are all of us, thus we are imperfect, and everything we do is imperfect, every decision and action is based on imperfect reasons. thus, when we choose God, which is the perfect, how do we know that it is the right and perfect choice? However, if it is a perfect choice, we are perfect, thus we do not need God and the bible is false. Answer? The perfect chooses us to choose Him.
lol the lesson was freaking headache for everyone lah! we were thinking and thinking really hard how to escape tt paradox.
the question after that - how do we know that the perfect DOES choose us, when we are imperfect? this was our homework, and seriosly the hardest homework ever =P
but i love that guy. he explained that we have to have a basis of tought and belief. if that is insecure, it is lyk walking on water, where the water is not solid. this totally contradicts what i thought about philosophy last year, where it screws people up in the head.
yes tt can happen, but mr tony see is the total opposite example of that. it is because of his philosophy such that he cannot find any other answers, except in God, which it is. many Christians do believe strongly by trust and faith, but now, the trust can be stregthend with reason and proof- that there is no other answer except God
altough i have not found all the answers, i really look forward to this journy in philosophy and experience what mr tony see has.
