for once, i dont feel lonely being alone at home. cause You are here by my side.

"coincidentally" ive learnt the same lesson as yuanhao at somewhat the same time. but mines tru this movie called Blood Diamond.

it is an amazing movie. totally eye opening. and it really showed me HOW FREAKING LUCKY we are. we are so protected, living in luxury, we can go from day to day not worrying much bout what happens tomorrow. in the movie, there was no justice, there was no peace, there was no order. people could just do what they liked. tribes were raided, arms or children were chopped off (yes they showed tt) women were raped (altough dey din show tt) the stronger men were taken away to mines where dey mined diamonds. the most scary thing was how, young boys were taken captive, den brain washed as a rebel, forcing dem to learn dier crazy ways, making them kill people, and so on. during the movie i was just lyk, God.. save these people.

in contrast. here, in sunny singapore, we are a COMPLAINING society. and i as a singporean am gona complain about complaining. always complaining government dont give us freedom, when in africa there is no freedom because of the lack of government order. no freedom to walk out of ur home without fearing death. no freedom of sleeping at night without worrying if your daughter will get taken away during the night.

and how about our teenagers here. we are complaining how school sucks and try to escape school all the time, while in the movie, the young boy walked 5km to school everyday. damn if i had to walk 5km n back everyday, i would really hate school. and tru school, that boy grew. school and what it taught gave him knowledge, and hope of better days. so while we are concerned over stuff like why doesnt that girl/guy talk to me, think about how some are worrying about their family being killed, they being taken captive.

we are lucky =) to lucky, that we forget so sometimes.

haha on a personal note, my spiritual life. has been amazing. prayer meetings really did help me. getting to know more people who faced similar problems, who has the same passion for Christ really rocks. but what really revived my ytd was what david raj said. he was on the mrt wid me on the way home, n we somehow started talking about faith. he does qt in solid half n hrs, where he listens to music n pray until he gets into that "mood" lyk in church n stuff. i was lyk wow. i tried doing that too ytd. and it worked great. one more thing that got me back on track was rearranging my priorities. putting God really FIRST. infront of friends, family, school, anything else. always going back to Him for advice, for guidance, asking Him way often if somethigns right or not, if nothings going on, just talking crap wid Him. just being accountable to Him for every little thing!

-i love life -
