only the losers win. they really have nothing to prove
they dont give a care about success, popularity, winning, money
wow, really sounds like a loser huh?
thats cause he has surrendered everything. everything to God
he takes his house, his car, his money in his back account, his social status, his ceo position at work, his plans ahead, his life. and shouts out " LORD, these things are not mine, they are now yours." and gives them away, just wanting to humbly follow Jesus
now he has nothing to prove, nothing to lose, cause he has surrendered everything!
why surrender all this? its so fantastic! money, popularity, success, winning. well simply cuz we cant serve 2 gods. these things only tie us down, chain us up, and prevents God from working even more in our lives.
he knows real riches are not found here. money is just green paper. social status is just an imaginary ladder to make the "higher" feel burdened and the "lower" feel inferior. everything is meaningless to him. cause its not eternal. he has nothing, but with God, he has everything. while if u have everything, but without God, thats nothing.
surrender is really giving everything u have, everythin u care about - school, work, passions, plans, money and giving them to God, and let God use them, or to lead us in those areas in our life. cuase God noes best. His plan is perfect. we can be totally confident in following Him!!!
whenever i post sthn lidat, its not really to tell the world about dis, but also to remind myself. cuz ive definitely been guilty of non surrender, and flirting with worldy things. no-more. from now on, edmund is a loser. he has nothing, and nothing to prove. i may have to surrender back to God everyday, or even 50 times a day, but ill still do it
some may think, if being a christian means giving up so much, why the heck should i be one? as i said above, one who has everything but no God, has nothing. everything is meaningless here, cause its all not gona go wid you to the grave. and only tru surrendering everything, do u start feeling the joy of life without life weighing you down.
and actually. when you surrender everything, God actually provides in your life. money, possesions. and usually.. people who surrender all to God, have attractive personalities, cause they dont try to prove anything, or put up walls between themselves. most of all, they shine with Gods love (:
but of course, u cant do it for the above reasons. cause ur still tied down to the chains, as ur motives are still worldy. thats not surrender

our reward aint here
our home aint here
so just lose everything here (:
