COUNCIL CAMPAIGN WEEK
its been a totally insane week, starting from last wednesday
wednesday
campaign briefing! after which our group - edmund mary liuyi bobbie junen stayed back to discuss all our plans.
we came up with our SPAS idea - Superheroes Posing As Students.
it was to be a comic, that would be continued day by day.
we came up with a whole lot of other ideas too.
thursday
took pictures for our 1st comic ^^
realized we had a whole lot of work to do...
friday
ponned track meet to do our work.
painted our boards that we would be carrying around, mine says "ill burn the school down (with passion)"
discussed alot again.
realized we should just ditch all our other poster ideas, and just have comics.
have my doubts on how the whole thing will be like, but okay..
saturday
went shopping! for all our art materials, costumes. bought our coolio hats, feathers for our hair, giant pieces of cloth for cape.. etc. was a really fun day! sorry junen for forgetting to call u =x
sunday
off to mary's church in the morning, was a really good service on the great love n grace of God.
had lunch at plaza sing den rushed back to school to take pics for ALL our comics! we dressed up in our costumes for the 1st time ever. was super fun lah (: had a great time taking all the pics, and posing in the hot sun. der were some super on groups who were there on sunday too. not to mention having tons of posters up already.
after that about 5pm i realized my com at home wasnt working -.- went to mary's place to do up day 2 comic, only getting to eat dinner at 9pm.
monday (omg campaign week started!)
day1! =D was very stressful to see so many groups with fantastic posters and hats n campaign ideas. however, on the whole, i expected campaigning to be crazier.
the whole of SPAS wore the same hats. and we looked pretty good o.<

tuesday (superhero day)
when our superhero theme went into full swing. our posters featuring us in superhero identity were up!

from day 2, i realized a trend in the posters. most of them were screaming "VOTE FOR ME" and some with smart puns n one liners,some with really nice themes like the shoes (sarinas group). but i think, our comics really stood our as different from the rest of the posters, so we didnt have to spam them really big or all over the place to get attention ^^ just 6 of them around the school sufficed.
all of us were nicely dressed up in our crazy superhero costumes. thank you jaime for painting all of our faces! our, costumes-rocked :D people were telling me that i was nuts, painting on all the fire n stuff haha. definitely the most tiring day of the week.

after the whole day, i was feeling really really tired n stressed out, especially with my com not working so i had trouble doing the day 4 comic, AND we had n-o-t-h-i-n-g for day 3. did qt, praying for recovery n inspiration. den God told me, to not do anything tml. sudenly all the stress was relieved. felt really great.
went back to my com, it actually started up,even tough i failed to start it up 10+ times before qt. did my comic, n went to bed satisfied.
wednesday
sing dance skarespeare day. didnt do anything at all, felt good about it =P
after school der was this briefing for us nominess, to tell us about forum tml. got me pretty nervous lol.
stayed back to make the free hugs boards and to print out
thursday
love thy seniors day.
was the day that we felt taht we should have done something better xD
well, i had a good time (: going around with my free hugs board.
i think it was the most hugs ever i got in one day. (what.. 100 hugs?) yea should be around there lol. went around year6 lvl doing that too. mixed responses lol.
glad i could get to talk to some year 6s too.
the year6 forum was pretty scary. quite nervous before that.
some people got flamed really bad. some people answered suicidally.
but i think i did ok. grabbed a general question n just answered.
of course standing up for God while answering, as He wanted me to do.
after the forum, we supposed to do n print out the final comic.
met with a major hiccup- the printer didnt work o.o
in the end, liuyi had to go home, print out individual pictures
den we had to cut them up n paste them on an a3 sheet.
which got me to stay up till 2am doing half of them.
friday (final day)
campaigning was really toned done today for everyone.
just put up our final poster
put some facepaint on too.

loved and hated campaign week
hated the super long feeling of it, the stress, the super late nights, the 3 hour sleeping times.
loved the outcome of the hardwork, the printing out of the comics, the large amount of people that would crowd around our comics while coming back from assembly, the positive feedback on our campaign. most of all, loved working with my campaign group.
love transends all, so i guess the whole campaign week was just fantastic n worth it =) even if i dont get into council, ill still think this week was worth it.
seen alot of competiveness, rivalry, and even bitching during thsi campaign week. but i think our group treated this week as just to have fun, and not to garner votes, not to publicize like crazy, or compete with other groups.
